Linkin Park is an American rock band from Agoura Hills, California. The band's current lineup comprises of Mike Shinoda (vocals, keyboards, samplers and guitar), Brad Delson (guitar), and Rob Bourdon (drums). Joe Hahn (turntables) and Dave Farrell (bass) were later recruited, and in 1999, Chester Bennington (lead vocals) became a member, staying with the band until his death in 2017. Vocalists Mark Wakefield, bassist Kyle Christner are former members of the band. Categorized as alternative rock, Linkin Park earlier music spanned a fusion of heavy metal and hip hop, while they later transitioned into more electronica and pop influenced music.
